Students do not need to be fully admitted to attend Summer Session full time. Full applications for admissions to Summer Session are not required unless you are applying for summer financial aid. If you would like to register for Summer Session as a non-admitted student, please apply using our $10 Quick-Entry Application. |

to Register
For add and drop deadlines, please go to the Academic Calendar or to the Add, Drop, Withdraw and Grade Option Change schedule.
Returning Students
If you are continuing from spring term, follow Steps 1 and 2 below.
Step 1 Registration begins Monday, May 5: Choose your courses using the Time Schedule and Course Descriptions.
Step 2 Register using the web registration system. Follow the directions for entering your courses.
To register in person: use a Special registration Form available at the Registration windows, Neuberger Hall lobby. Obtain approval stamps from academic departments and return the form to the registration windows.
If you are returning to Portland State University after an absence of three or more consecutive terms (not including summer) or if this is your first registration since graduating from Portland State, contact the Admissions, Records, and Registration office for instructions at 503-725-3511.

New Students
New students may enroll in as many as 21 credits in summer, without applying for formal admission. To be eligible to register for the first time, you must submit a Quick Entry form and nonrefundable $10.00.
