An audit
registration status means that the course is being taken for informational
purposes. Attendance is customary and expected: there is no academic
performance or evaluation. An audit registration is not available before
the start of the quarter. Audit is on a space available basis and the
instructor may deny such registration. After the term begins, registering
for audit is done by the Web or in-person at the main counter. The last
day to change a course to the audit option is noted in the Academic
Calendar. Audit hours are assessed regular tuition and fees. However,
audit hours do not count in determining the student's load for enrollment
verification or financial aid. A final mark of "X", which
means "no basis for grade (or audit)", can be assigned for
inadequate attendance. Senior citizens wishing to register for an audit
course should read information given under the Senior Citizen Program.
